The finishing of Colorless

This blog will basically summarize the entire journey of Colorless.

First of all this is a student project and was made for assignment purposes, we were given 10 weeks to create and continuously update the game. In the 10 weeks, we were given 3 different genre to incorporate into the game, however the genre are given at different weeks. So we are required to use our creativity to incorporate these different genre into the game. 

For Colorless there was a major change between Version 1 and 2 due to the different genre that were given during development. 
For Version 1 the genre given was beat em up and what I did was made a side scroller with where the player beats the robot at close range to incorporate the genre of beat em up. 

As for Colorless Version 2 was was given the genre of roguelite/ roguelike to choose. I made a incorporated the Rouguelite by having random enemies spawn, For this version I consider it as an experimental version as it was more of a learning process for me. I made it on the intention of learning how to make the enemy follow the player and I played around with it throughout this version. 

And for the final version of Colorless, Version 3, I was told that I misunderstood the assignment and was meant to add the new genre onto the previous genre, which was also the reason why Colorless version 2 was so different as I made a new interface for the game and all. Coming back to Version 3, we were given the genre of shoot em up. So for version 3 after the clarification regarding the assignment the genre i had to work with was beat em up, roguelite and shoot em up. I incorporated this by adding a new weapon, the previous version you throw shuriken and in this version there is a new weapon, the Fist. One has longer range but lower damage, the other has shorter range but higher damage. since Version 2 I already had a shoot em up feature which was the shuriken I just had to add the beat em up feature and that is the end of my journey of developing Colorless.
